New Puppy Supplies

Bringing home a new puppy is exciting!  Don't forget we have a free guide that goes over all you need to know when bringing how a new Amstaff puppy HERE. This is a list of items that will be helpful:

1. **Collar and Leash**: For walks and outings. Make sure the collar is properly fitted and not too tight.

 

2. **ID Tags**: Include your puppy's name and your contact information in case they get lost.

 

3. **Food and Water Bowls**: Stainless steel or ceramic bowls are best as they are easy to clean and difficult for puppies to chew.

 

4. **Puppy Food**: Choose a high-quality puppy food appropriate for your puppy's breed and size.

 

5. **Treats**: For training and rewards. Opt for small, soft treats that are easy for puppies to chew and digest.

 

6. **Crate or Dog Bed**: Provide a comfortable sleeping area for your puppy. A crate can also be used for house training.

 

7. **Toys**: Provide a variety of toys to keep your puppy entertained and stimulated. Chew toys, plush toys, and interactive toys are all great options.

 

8. **Puppy Shampoo**: Choose a gentle, puppy-specific shampoo for bathing your puppy.

 

9. **Brush and Comb**: Depending on your puppy's coat type, you may need a brush and/or comb for grooming.

 

10. **Poop Bags**: For cleaning up after your puppy during walks.

 

11. **Puppy Training Pads**: Useful for house training, especially if you live in an apartment or don't have easy access to a yard.

 

12. **Puppy Training Treats**: Use high-value treats specifically for training sessions.

 

13. **Chew Toys**: Puppies love to chew, so provide plenty of appropriate chew toys to keep them from chewing on furniture or other items.

 

14. **Stain and Odor Remover**: Accidents happen during house training, so have a good quality stain and odor remover on hand.

 

15. **First Aid Kit**: Include basic supplies like bandages, antiseptic, and tweezers in case of minor injuries.

 

16. **Puppy Gate**: Useful for restricting your puppy's access to certain areas of your home.

 

17. **Puppy Training Books or Guides**: Educate yourself on how to properly care for and train your new puppy.

 

18. **Appointment with Veterinarian**: Schedule a veterinary check-up for your puppy to ensure they are healthy and up to date on vaccinations.

 

19. **Heartworm Preventative and Flea/Tick Treatment**: Discuss with your veterinarian the appropriate preventative measures for your puppy.

 

20. **Patience and Love**: Most importantly, be patient and loving with your new puppy as they adjust to their new home and family. Training takes time and consistency, so enjoy the journey of bonding with your furry friend!
